The last few weeks I been feeling like I cant swallow my food and drink without the feeling of it being stuck in my throat.
Then when I stop eating and drinking for a break. It feels like a bubble blocking my airway so I breathe mainly with my nose as I take a deep breath in it feels like I am fighting for breath. Any idea what it can be? Would it be the start of lupus shining in now? Xx

I used to have something similar but not sure if it's exactly the same . It would be advisable to not drink any carbonated drinks and do not drink through straws since they can can cause a gas bubble as well.

Hi, yes it is possible. You may want to speak to a doctor though to rule out silent reflux
I have had this problem for many years. When it gets really bad I let my gastroenterologist know and he goes in and dilatates my esophagus. It's an easy painless procedure that usually lasts for about 5 years.
