From April to October when it's warm I suffer with horrific hands and feet swelling which tbh my doctor is sick of seeing me about. He has no interest and can't help. I cant even wear shoes without severe discomfort and my fingers get so swollen they can't bend. On top of the severe ibs and screwed up back this is making me miserable. I’ve had swollen legs, ankles & feet for 30 yrs. One leg is worse than the other.Over the years my shoe size went from 8 med to 9 1/2 wide. The swelling causes me to wear out my shoes unevenly. I don’t add salt to my food which helped swollen hands. But, no improvement elsewhere. Drs don’t seem concerned.

Lucy I wanted to come back to you to see how you are now feeling and to give you a suggestion. If you are familiar with Amazon I bought ice therapy socks that I wear at night to keep my swollen feet comfortable. They sound and act just like Normal socks but they have moldable artificial ice. You might want to look them up. Hope this helps.πŸ’–πŸ’—

Hi Lucy, you are definitely not imagining it. I'm sorry this is happening to you and I'm also sorry to hear that your healthcare provider is being dismissive. You can tell your provider you've become aware that high humidity plays a part in how fibromyalgia responds and you want to know if there are any suggestions on how to deal with it. I'm sorry that you have to do that but from what I've learned it is unfortunately becoming more common. I understand what you are going through. I'm still dealing with high humidity pain. My trigger points are continuously struggling. I often use a pain relieving cream and use a flexible cooling ice substitute on my feet. Sometimes I soak them in cool water. It helps but I know high humidity is always going to cause an issue and I try in advance to prepare. I feel ya πŸ˜‚πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’œ
