This is likely also connected to my C-PTSD somehow. I recently was divorced and living alone is taking a toll on me. Usually my sex drive is very low, and I do not desire to sleep with other random people (we're all adults here, right?)

My sex drive is practically non exsitant. I know its the fibromyalgia with me. My husband is a Saint living with me lol. I haven't been to the doctors because I don't see what they can do about it. I know you can buy capsules and gummies for your libido. Xxx

My advice would be first to relax, Everyone man and woman at some time in life have no desire for intimate connections.
This is perfectly normal. Our hormones play a huge roll in that department.
Please be gentle with yourself, What you are experiencing is incredibly common and a direct, biological side effect of what your body is fighting every single day.
If we over think something then that something becomes a huge problem and when it becomes a problem we stress about it. When we stress we start a vicious circle. Of feeling nothing panic sets in and the sexual desire goes down. My advice is don't think of it. (If you can) This is no longer a problem, it does not worry you. What will be will be.
Don't wait for things to change. Then a little down the road after breaking the cycle soon enough you will feel those little feelings coming back.
You know what they say, it may be an old English saying. 'A watched pot never boils'
Also there are some wonderful books on tantric sex. Maybe that would be an option for when the cycle is breaking.
Sending love Peps

Definitely can be a symptom of both. Perhaps try focusing on some deep relaxation beforehand. πŸ’›

Yes, fibromyalgia is absolutely connected to sexual health and libido. This is a very real and common experience, and you're not alone in navigating it.

Fibromyalgia can affect sexual well-being in several ways:

- Chronic pain makes physical intimacy uncomfortable or exhausting
- Fatigue leaves little energy for sexual activity
- Mood changes and depression, which are common with fibro, can significantly lower desire
- Medications like certain antidepressants (used to manage fibro symptoms) can reduce libido or make it harder to reach climax
- Hormonal disruptions linked to fibro can also play a role Going through a divorce and adjusting to living alone adds emotional weight that can make everything harder, including intimacy with yourself. Stress and emotional pain are known to dampen the body's ability to relax enough for sexual relief.

Some things that may help:

- Reducing pain before intimacy β€” a warm bath or gentle stretching can help relax the body
- Timing β€” trying during your lower-pain windows of the day
- Mindfulness or breathing exercises to calm the nervous system first
- Talking to your doctor about whether any current medications might be affecting your ability to climax

It's worth raising this with your healthcare provider β€” it's a legitimate quality-of-life concern and they can help.
