Members shared a variety of natural approaches for managing fibromyalgia, including dietary changes like reducing sugar and chicken, staying active with walking, using CBD softgels paired with Tylenol, and infrared heating pads for deeper muscle relief. Several members discussed the importance of pacing activities, avoiding prolonged sitting or standing, reducing stress, and listening to the body's limits, with one member noting that working on the central nervous system has helped older treatments become more effective again. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia affects everyone differently, especially with medications and supplements, so finding a personal combination of strategies through trial and patience is key.

I cannot take any of the medication’s for fibromyalgia. So I use CBD softgels and Tylenol arthritis and regular arthritis. I use those to sleep also. Love my venture infrared heat pad, hot showers, hot baths. Don’t stay in one position for too long, especially sitting. Letting things go if I’m not up to it …pacing appointments ….staying away from stress as much as possible. But some people are in such extreme pain. They need very strong medication for it.

Victoria, Thank you for your thoughtful reply. You gave me much to consider. I'm finally sleeping soundly but I still get s lot of pain at various times so this info is helpful. I kind of wondered about arthritis Tylenol and it's been awhile since I took CBD but ever since I've been doing cns work some of my old treatments are now working better for me so it might be time to retry now that you reminded me. Special thanks. I hope you are well.💜💜💜

Thank you vic this helps a lot. I too have the same problem with sitting or standing too long...it stiffens me up too much. I'll try the arthritis Tylenol. I think at one point tried the soft gel cbds and didn't get anywhere from it. But I am willing to try again. Thanks for your response. Its much appreciated.😉

I cut down on sugar and limit eating too much chicken. Chicken and sugar were triggers for me. I try to stay active by walking/ counting steps. I use ice when I have pain in between my shoulder blades. I take a stress relief bath when my whole body hurts. I listen to my body and do what I can. If I'm too tired, I rest.

Going the natural route with fibromyalgia is something many people explore, and there are quite a few approaches that have shown promise. Here's a roundup of what has worked for others:

Diet & Hydration
- Eating more protein and avoiding simple sugars/carbs to keep energy levels steady
- Staying well hydrated — as one MyFibroTeam member put it, water helps hydrate muscles, which can ease both pain and tiredness
- Trying anti-inflammatory or plant-based diets
- Snacking on protein bars or bananas for slow-release energy

Supplements (always check with your doctor first)
- B-complex vitamins to help calm overstimulated nerves
- Vitamins D and B12
- Chamomile or peppermint tea for general comfort

Movement & Exercise
- Starting very small — one MyFibroTeam member began with seated toe wiggling and ankle rotations, gradually building up to yoga, Pilates, and walking
- Gentle yoga and stretching to ease muscle stiffness

Stress Reduction
- Meditation and deep breathing
- Tai chi or yoga
- Connecting with friends and loved ones
- Simply laughing more (seriously, it helps!)

Lifestyle Tweaks
- Switching to fragrance-free laundry detergent and avoiding scented products, which can trigger symptoms
- Using ergonomic support like pillows and chairs to reduce muscle fatigue
- Pacing yourself — doing tasks in the morning and resting in the afternoon

It's worth remembering that what works varies from person to person, so some trial and error is part of the process. Always loop in your doctor before making big changes, especially with supplements, as some can interact with medications.
