Members jumped in with creative, practical ideas for gardening with fibromyalgia and chronic pain, focusing on ways to keep doing a beloved hobby without overdoing it. Several members suggested raised table beds, container gardening, and flippable garden stools with arms for support, while others recommended pacing strategies like weeding in 5-minute intervals with breaks in between. Helpful resources were also shared, including an adaptive gardening YouTube channel and websites like thedisabledgardener.com and therapeuticassociates.com, with one member already planning to order adaptive tools for their hands and wrists.

I have not read any books on the subject.

Some people find raised beds helpful. What kind of gardening are you looking to do veggies, flowers, or both? 💛💐

I have a little stool I can flip. One way I can use it as a chair and the other a stool to kneel on. Also, has little arms I can use to help stand.

Such a great question. I saw a Youtube channel and there might be more out there. I know it's not a book but just in case it could be helpful:

@A MyFibroTeam Member have you ever tried container tomatoes? They are much easier to work with. So you put everything in the container just like you would in the ground. Then you can just sit in a chair and work.
