Always thats why I take edibles i find we ( people with fibro) are not taken seriously. I'm supposed to get epidural injections ever 2 months which it started out like that but now it's 3 months or more between. So I suffer high pain levels for atlease 1 1/2 months. Having a hard time mentally due to not being able to do what I like to including taking a walk for 5 or 10 minutes. Once a week would be nice and help mentally state.

@A MyFibroTeam Member my pressure was low and my heart was high. As well I am going to an appointment daily. I may have over exerted myself from being exhausted too.

I understand the PCT CNA RN & physician assistant and tip my hat to them. But some of these doctors , as well as hospital allowed the government to take over and run them like my Corporate America and people don't care about people, Health anymore it didn't matter what my circumstances or situation was I was in pain, I needed help and I'm also dealing with a medical condition fibromyalgia that they claim that they don't have a cure for or know anything about and that they're learning from, I got covid because of the way American was being ran. So I show gratitude and respect for and to who it needs to be given to, but I am going to ask questions have concerns and advocate for my health.

This is such a frustrating and unfortunately common experience for people with fibromyalgia. The reality is that fibromyalgia has a long history of being misunderstood — even by medical professionals. Pain is often dismissed or not taken seriously, which leaves many people feeling unheard and helpless.

Emergency rooms are set up to treat acute (sudden) medical crises, not chronic (ongoing) pain conditions. Because fibromyalgia pain doesn't show up on standard tests or scans, ER staff may not know how to address it effectively. There are a few reasons why ER visits for fibromyalgia pain can feel so unhelpful:

- Stigma and skepticism — Fibromyalgia pain has historically been dismissed as "all in your head," even by doctors
- Lack of visible markers — There are no blood tests or imaging that confirm fibromyalgia pain in the moment
- Limited treatment options — Even specialists acknowledge that truly effective drug treatments are still lacking
- ER focus — Emergency rooms prioritize life-threatening emergencies over chronic pain management

One thing that can help is wearing a medical ID that lists your condition, symptoms, and current medications. This gives ER staff immediate context and may lead to better care.

Speaking with your regular doctor about a fibromyalgia flare plan — including what to do and where to go during severe episodes — can also make a real difference.

I was treated like a drug dealer. Not good in small hospital. But when I had dr from Vancouver call ER, mmmm all of a sudden I have been shown respect and kindness.

I know now to keep flagging ER staff That means i stay on topic and ignore
