Do you have information on what was done for you with the results of this test?

Quite interesting. When my situation was chaotic w unrelenting pain and mobility issues it came w outsized abdominal issues too. I personally think it was the stress and frustration of the overall situation; a new internist ordered tests. One was to determine if I had a certain bacteria, which I took but it wasn’t 2-1/2 hours.

Fortunately I did not have the bacteria. Also had an endoscopy that found gallstones and cystitis, think I have that spelling right? Anyway, I had the cystitis once before at age 30 after being diagnosed w RA. I thought my life was kaput and once I presented myself to be seen for the stomach pain they gave me anti depressants and signed me up for a support group.

I attended the group for two sessions, leaving bc I was resigned then to my situation and saw that others in the group had an even tougher road. One guy was bereft bc he did not allow his wife to buy a red dress she was eyeing. She died and he felt so bad he bought that red dress for her to wear at her burial. That was the story that broke me so I quit going and only did one script of the meds.

Wondering now if what I had was also a SIBO. I had a colonoscopy today and am scheduled ti have my gallbladder removed late March. Getting the works done for sure.

She did the 2 1/2 hour test where you blow in the bag too.

She is concerned about taking antibiotics with this as she has been in bed since Christmas. She had both the flu and norovirus which triggered a flare up of both fibromyalgia and CFS.
There are some natural products too that kill bacteria.

Do you remember what you took?
Many thanks.

Relative with fibromyalgia had the SIBO test and they found bacteria.

Has anyone else gone through this and what treatments did they get?
She is waiting to hear back from the gastroenterologist.
