I have fibromyalgia and get unexplainable fevers often, my doctor just put it in my chart as “Autoinflammatory syndrome with periodic fever”

I get that when I’ve done way too much.

I get this quite a bit. My husband thinks I'm crazy when I put on extra layers lol. It's just normal, whatever that is. Xx

Are flu-like symptoms with chills but no fever common with fibromyalgia?

Yes, experiencing flu-like symptoms including chills without a fever can occur with fibromyalgia. While fever isn't typically a fibromyalgia symptom, many people with the condition experience sensations that feel similar to having the flu.

Fibromyalgia can make you more sensitive to temperature changes, which may explain the chills you're feeling. This heightened sensitivity to temperature is a recognized symptom of the condition.

Common fibromyalgia symptoms that might feel flu-like include:
* Widespread muscle pain and aching
* Severe fatigue and exhaustion
* General body weakness
* Temperature sensitivity

The muscle pain and fatigue associated with fibromyalgia can create that overall "sick" feeling similar to having the flu, even without an actual infection or fever present.

If your symptoms are new or have changed significantly, it's worth checking in with your doctor to rule out any other conditions or infections that might need attention. They can help determine if what you're experiencing is related to your fibromyalgia or if something else is going on.
