Members shared widespread experiences of debilitating foot pain related to their condition, describing symptoms including morning stiffness, shooting heel pain, tingling, numbness, and electric-like sensations that significantly impact daily mobility. Several members recommended practical solutions that have provided relief, most notably Hoka or Brooks shoes for their cushioned soles and wide toe boxes, as well as toe spacers, insoles, foot rolling exercises, and consulting with a podiatrist for underlying issues like peripheral neuropathy or arthritis. A recurring theme was the determination to stay active despite pain, with members encouraging each other to find personalized solutions and celebrating any relief that helps restore mobility and quality of life.

I wear Hoka at work. They are the best! I put boots on this morning because it’s snowing here, and my feet are just aching. Sigh….

Sometimes my feet ache, sometimes it’s just my toes. I try to walk at least three times a week and one time I did my walk with my feet feeling tingly and slightly numb. Probably not the best idea, but I’m incredibly stubborn. I don’t tend to miss my walks from pain at all, but sometimes the soul crushing fatigue slows me down.

Do people with fibromyalgia experience foot pain?

While the search results don't specifically mention foot pain, they do describe widespread chronic pain as the defining symptom of fibromyalgia. This pain can affect muscles and joints throughout the body and may be described as shooting, burning, stabbing, tingling, aching, or throbbing.

One symptom that's mentioned is restless feet, which some people with fibromyalgia experience. The pain often comes with stiffness or numbness and can get worse when you're cold, tired, stressed, or not getting enough exercise.

Since fibromyalgia causes widespread pain throughout the body's muscles and joints, foot pain would certainly be consistent with the condition. If you're experiencing foot pain that's affecting your daily life, it's worth discussing with your healthcare provider to explore pain management options.
