Yes, many people with fibromyalgia experience stress-related symptoms like what you're describing. There's a strong connection between stress and fibromyalgia symptoms, creating a cycle where stress can worsen symptoms, and symptoms can increase stress. When the nervous system is under stress, it can become more sensitive, potentially leading to various physical reactions. Temperature regulation and sweating issues are commonly reported by people with fibromyalgia. Many MyFibroTeam members discuss experiencing excessive sweating and heat-related symptoms, regardless of the temperature. These symptoms can be particularly challenging and concerning when they occur.

If you're experiencing concerning blood pressure changes, it's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider to ensure proper monitoring and management.

Yes, I have this. It’s especially embarrassing in a meeting/work. It happens when the central nervous system is unable to properly regulate.
I practice mindfulness and keep a “tension journal” to teach myself how to recognize when tension goes up.
