Yes it’s very complicated condition!

If I try to push through the pain, I get worse. Since this diagnosis is new for you, you just have to learn what works for you and what doesn’t . Not everyone who has fibromyalgia is the same. And that makes this condition even more complicated. But you will get to know what works for you and what doesn’t ,and it will take some time. I was diagnosed 25 years ago.
Has your doctor found that there may be unrelated ailments contributing to the symptoms? My rheumatologist said the Fibro symptoms are the tender points and joint pain. My General Practitioner doctors have said that some of my other symptoms are a result of becoming somewhat sedentary because of the root Fibro symptoms. And I have found that if I focus on the other symptoms separately m, treating them as prescribed, that they do go away while the original Fibro symptoms tend to remain, but become more tolerable.
Walking helps stretch all the muscle groups. And the adrenaline produced by the walking can ease pain occurring. This approach plus closing my eyes and breathing meditation style during flare ups has also helped me work through difficult days. I hope you are able to have good days among the difficult days. ❤️
Scott I find the fatigue is worse than the pain I do not find walking helps. After I walk I need to go to bed sometimes I have to go to bed for 3 hours before I can get up and do anything. The main thing I can tell you is do not overdo have to pace yourself.
Cathy, are you saying the walking helps? My fatigue level outweighs my pain. I may need to try to push through it if that's the case. I tend to to regress if I do too much, though. The diagnosis is new to to me, so I'm looking for any helps to find a balance here.
