I tend to fall asleep late but sometimes not even with the meditation music or guided meditation I would fall asleep. The pain mostly keeps me up. When I do fall asleep is maybe at 4 or 5 a.m and wake up around 11 a.m so when I do fall asleep I may sleep 5 or 6 hours. And not well. I tend to get restless leg syndrome and/or toss and turn . I even started taking melatonin to help me sleep but doesn’t help much. . Does anyone have any other suggestions on what may help ?

Magnesium Glycenate helped me much better than melatonin for sleep. It is supposed to help muscle relaxation so maybe it helps with restless legs as well. It's not a sure thing, but I do see a difference when taking it before bed. Magnesium Malate is recommended in the AM for energy. I have not tried it.
Thank you, Scott. I just stopped taking magnesium Malate. I have taken it for many years. But since taking the magnesium citrate, I don’t seem to need it now. But I appreciate your recommendation. I hope you’re having a low pain day. @A MyFibroTeam Member
Thanks Scott. I tried the mag glycinate, and I know so many find it helpful. But it kept me awake. Some times I have opposite reaction to some medication's, herbs and supplements. I’m very sensitive. Nurse told me that I have something called , Paradoxical syndrome. 🤪
I just found out magnesium glycinate is likely better for sleep-the citrate for for digestion & stool. Overall magnesium doesn't stay in the blood long and it helps with just about everything- muscle relaxation, energy, sleep, protiens and bones. It seems to hit all the fibro issues.
I remember your recommendation, Scott. So I have been taking 400 mg of the magnesium citrate and I sleep five hours straight with it usually. I also take CBD with it and Tylenol. I used to take magnesium Malate. I found it very helpful I thought, but now I’m just taking the magnesium at night.
