Anyone diagnosed with migraines? If so, what are you taking to treat it? I was just officially diagnosed and am waiting for my new prescriptions.

Members diagnosed with migraines shared a wide range of medications and treatments that have helped them manage their condition, with many reporting significant improvement in frequency and severity. Several members mentioned preventive medications like Topamax (Topiramate), Qulipta, Emgality, and Nurtec ODT, as well as rescue medications like Sumatriptan, with Botox injections emerging as a particularly effective option for some who had tried multiple other treatments without success. A recurring theme was the challenge of navigating insurance approvals and medication limits, balanced by hope and encouragement as members compared notes on what finally brought relief after years of frequent, debilitating migraines.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I have Nurtec ODT, but I can only get 8 pills per month. They are going to start me on Emgality injections, but there's been some hangups with insurance, etc.

The ice pick migraines are sometimes brought on by overexposure to chemicals, fumes or scented items. This type can cause demylenation in the C.N.S. (white blobs, increased T2 signal intensity).
Please try to avoid all chemicals, smells, toxins, scented products, etc.....things that are not properly pre-outgassed when new also can be a culprit.
