Or on uneven ground. I loose my balance very easily and trip often. I have to carefully look at my surroundings and try to find the flattest ground without any bumps or uneven edges. Do any of you experience this too when walking? I used to be an avid runner. How things have changed.

Members strongly related to the frustration of losing balance on slopes and uneven ground, with many describing frequent falls, twisted ankles, and the need to walk extremely slowly and carefully in outdoor spaces. Several members shared practical solutions that have helped them stay safer, including using trail shoes with better grip, getting a doctor to prescribe a walker or cane covered by insurance, and accepting mobility aids like wheelchairs for outdoor activities. A recurring theme was the grief of losing physical abilities once taken for granted, paired with gratitude for community members who understand the invisible challenge of navigating a world built for stable footing.

I’m 76 and I don’t either fall or lose my balance except maybe a little when I smoke weed!

I can relate to the imbalances and also used to be rather athletic. I gave up some activities due to frequent falls. I use a cane on long walks or uneven ground. I'm 64. Now I play brain games! Lol

I also have the same issue. The slightest incline and on the floor I go or ground. And I’ve had that issue of falling since I first got diagnosed. I could swear Mother Nature is throwing banana peels out everywhere I walk! SMH 🤦‍♀️

Yes I struggle with balance, the slightest camber beneath my feet can send me in a different direction instantly.. if there’s an edge to slip off I’ll find it. I think it could be connected to vertigo but don’t quote me on that. I also have permanent tinnitus which I don’t think helps
