You can't overdue it. Evwn 20 minutes is good. If you are going to overdo it, you won't get the benefits. For me, its all about consistency. I try never to let more than 2 days go by where i don't walk because then i start having horrible leg cramps and tightness.
It’s so easy to do!!
It’s like a balancing act, isn’t it?!
There is always some pain for me when I start out and haven’t been walking consistently. But you also want to avoid causing a flare. 😅
If you don’t already try checking in with yourself before you walk. Asking yourself some questions might inform how far you should aim to walk or if you need to do anything prior to your walk. 🤷♀️
Posture and stiffness can be a signal that I need to do some tension release work prior to walking. And hydrate
And as a wise team member once told me, maybe go slower or for shorter distances than you think you need to.
Hope that flare ends soon!! Happy walking, Lucy 💛🌈
Lucy, Exercise is good pain relief, when u walk don't over do it. Xxxx
Listen to your body,Lucy, and try not to overdue any kind of exercise. Start out very slow and then rest. Pushing to much will only make it more painful and longer to calm down. You'll catch on after awhile. Take baby steps when you exercise. Your body will thank you. Take care and hang in there. Fibro is a learning process that you have go though. Sending you a hug.
Keep active that will help with some of the pain. My Dr. Told me that a few years ago. On these good days.
