Members offered warm support and well wishes to someone who experienced dizziness, chest pain, back pain, and sharp spasms after a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound. Several members shared differing experiences with how ultrasounds affect their bodies, with some noting that medical procedures can indeed trigger flares, while others emphasized that fibromyalgia and health anxiety can amplify physical symptoms and create a feedback loop of worry and pain. A recurring theme was the importance of being gentle with oneself, exploring calming tools like meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy for health anxiety, and recognizing that everyone's body responds differently to stress and medical tests.

I don’t know, Arleen. As someone who doesn’t do well with ultrasounds (mentally or physically) I often experience a flare in relation.

We are all so very different. 🥰

Lucy I have used meditation tapes from you tube to stop me distressing my self over intrusive thought from the past. This has worked, it takes perseverance and time. The process is calming and would help you in general. CBT therapy is very effective for anxiety but again requires effort and perseverance. I hope you can alter some of your behaviours. With all you have to cope with and three children you must feel exhausted. Take care. Ps change momma to peter

I don't think your flair is from the ultrasound. I remember when I had mine done I didn't have any pain that day. You should be getting the results within a couple of days. Hope you feel better.
