Members shared personal weight loss strategies while navigating fibromyalgia and chronic pain, with many emphasizing small, incremental lifestyle changes like drinking water before coffee, focusing on whole foods from the produce section, and gradually incorporating gentle movement. Several members discussed the importance of addressing underlying pain issues first, with myofascial release and self-massage techniques emerging as helpful tools for reducing joint stiffness and improving mobility before attempting exercise. A recurring theme was the challenge of finding relief when traditional medications either don't work or cause difficult side effects like weight gain, leading many to explore holistic approaches and newer options like low-dose naltrexone while supporting each other through the frustrating reality of being too unwell to exercise in conventional ways.

I hear ya , I don’t want to take meds either because all past meds have done nothing for me but ldn is the one and only med I have not tried yet it’s worth a shot to me because I want to recover and get well again . I’m sick and tired and hate having to be home bed bound .

Ldn, low dose neltrexone is a medication given to help people who have opioid and alcohol withdrawal usually given at 50mg but from my research given at low dose anywhere from 3mg-6 mg is supposed to help people living with fibromyalgia and cfs . I’ve not tried ldn yet as I’m still waiting for my pharmacy to cook it up , I asked my doctor if I could try ldn and he wrote me a script for 4.5 mg . I am like on my death bed with fibromyalgia and cfs and ldn is my last of all hope . Look into it do a google search or utube video for ldn for fibromyalgia and cfs

Both up and down. They make more noise going down.

I do. I have psoriatic arthritis as well as osteoarthritis, but I’m not currently on anything. Nothing seems to really work and the side effects seem to interfere with other issues 🫠
