Members shared their struggles with severe GERD that doesn't respond to standard medications, with several describing constant acid reflux, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, and the sensation of a lump in the throat. Many community members described finding relief through dietary changes like eliminating artificial sweeteners, cow's milk, chocolate, sugar, spicy foods, and alcohol, while others shared medications that helped them including omeprazole, famotidine, Nexium, digestive enzymes, low-dose naltrexone, and George's Aloe Vera juice. A recurring theme was the importance of getting proper testing through upper GI scans and endoscopies to rule out Barrett's esophagus or heart issues, advocating for surgical repair when hernias are present, and not ignoring severe symptoms that could signal something more serious.

Oh my word! I hope it isn't your heart! Terrible heartburn is either one or the other, I have bad cardiac pain because of it and terrible palpitations, but I have a hole in my diaphragm. I been seen by a cardiologist thankfully all is well, they did find a pin prick hole though.
I'm praying for you that all will be well. Relax and try not to stress about it too much. Take care ❀️ 😊 if you need to chat sent me a message

Aww! Cheryl I'm so sorry about that, I'm the same constantly vomiting, I've had enough. Are you under a GI surgeon. They refared me back 2 weeks ago. I'm going to buy some biomel health gut today to see if that helps because I dnt know about you but it causes other problems too. Take care keep me updated. ❀️
