I’ve been told my extreme pain in my back is due to a flare up (back gave out, extreme pain in lower back, sides, hips and down both legs numbness and tingling pain travelling down to legs)
I had the nerves in my back removed painlessly using sound vibrations. This helped but they grew back within a year. Of course it takes forever before the operation can be repeated. I think lowers back pain is more likely not to be caused by fibro.
LaraTurner please don't give up. Ask questions until you get the right answers. For two years I was told that it was just a fibromyalgia flare, but I know my body. They did an MRI and I was told that it was a bulging disc at L5. I left South Carolina and drove all the way to Maryland and found out that the MRI also shows that my sacroiliac joints are loose, and I have osteoarthritis in the sacroiliac joints, as well. The pain still didn't stop. I returned to South Carolina and shared the information with an Orthopedic doctor and a Neurologist. Then I was told that it is also my facet joints and sacrum. However, the Orthopedic doctor did not give up on me. He ordered x-rays, and learned that it was my left hip, and it was bone-on-bone osteoarthritis in my left hip. I had a total hip replacement surgery March 27, 2024, and that particular pain is gone. I had pain in the lower back, hip, groin, and the back of the leg due to osteoarthritisof the left hip. Now I must focus on my sacroiliac joints, facet joints, sacrum, lumbar at L5, and left knee. So, never allow the doctors to tell you that it's only a fibro flare because the pain is not always caused by a fibro flare.
I’ve had two mri scan and both have come back showing everything’s fine and it just feels like they are no longer willing to investigate and just blame my symptoms on my fibromyalgia. I’ve been having these symptoms for a year now
Now that I’m older, seems like I’m flaring more than I’m not!🤗🌷🦋
Bless you, thank you so much for sharing that!
