I'm meeting my lawyer first time on Friday. We'll via phone call. My sister found her and likes her and will be on the call with me so I don't get all flustered of overwhelmed.
She is paid only if we win like the other posters mentioned.
I did hear the same thing from many of those who have won and it was definitely only with a lawyer to appeal.
I was also offered the option to just put a new application in but no idea why one would choose that? 🤔
I'm in New Jersey USA.
Good luck either way you choose, IrishWife.
Find a lawyer who only charges if you win.
You don't have to spend money on a lawyer. The lawyer gets paid if they win your disability case they are given a certain percentage of your award. You should appeal it but you must have a lawyer to win your case if you do not you will not win your case. Most people are initially turned down and they have to go before the judge with their lawyer to win the case.
Good luck Irishwife, your due something positive,
