When I was first diagnosed with Fibro I had been experiencing flu like symptoms a lot but I wasn’t sick. I would get chills and feel really nauseous and have aches and pains in my joints just like the flu. The doctors (I went to my primary care physician, and about three specialists to rule out thyroid issues and lupus and the last doctor was a rheumatologist because it might be arthritis) All of the specialists said it wasn’t thyroid related or lupus. The rheumatologist said that the joint pain was not arthritis but fibromyalgia because of the tender points along with the joint pain. He prescribed walking to help loosen up my tight muscles. Walking every week improved my symptoms and the pain was relieved and the flu like symptoms subsided. But every once in a while those symptoms come back and I need to figure out its the real flu or my fake Fibro flu. I hope this information is helpful to you.
Trevor mine started off with flu like symptoms as in muscle and joint pain and very lethargic which eventually ended my working days. it progressed to all sort of different symptom, to many to mention..unfortunately it doesn't go away but you learn what you can and can't do..Buddy don't push yourself to hard listen to your body stretch and keep moving..try different things (food, Vitamins or what others recommend) it can be tough especially when flaring..i always tell myself better day will come which they do..stay strong mate..
I have a permanent supply of zofran for my nausea
Try chewing a small piece of dried ginger to quell nausea. I get mine in the bulk section of the grocery store near the raisins .
I have severe fibro and I feel sick and in pain every day. I don’t sleep until 2am and then I’m so tired and feeling ill that I usually sleep until 10 or 11am. Sometimes later, morning's are bad for me, I don’t have energy until I start feeling better usually around 1pm.
