Anxiety
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone, I have been diagnosed with fibro 3 years ago. And just a few months later with mixed adhd. Could I ask you if you suffer of anxiety and what type of anxious thoughts you have? Sometimes, to me it happens all the sudden, and nothing helps. Do you experience anything like this? If yes what do you do? It feels like my brain is completely out of control...

How do you deal with it? What do you do? I feel so hopeless.... dealing with fibromyalgia and adhd together is so difficult. This new anxiety symtom is so painful

I'm on Effexor for my anxiety. It can be awful. Feeling like you can't breathe. I just went through a horrible spell of it.

Thank you very much. It's difficult because I never had this issue before and I don't know what's happening. I do therapy but I think I need to address this problem differently.

Hi yes I totally understand how you feel . I have health anxiety I get totally out of control . All I can say to you is I know it's hard but you need to be strong and say to yourself no I can do this . Or you could draw a worry tree and right down all your worries . Basically with anxiety the goal is to train your brain to not think negatively try and ignore those fears and worries and be happy . It's very hard I understand though . I'm here if you want to talk xx

Hi Faty, I take anxiety medication...Clonazepam at night. Hovever in the day, when my heart is beating out of my chest, I put on a meditation music cd or anything really mellow, like the sound of the ocean waves......etc and lie down, close my eyes and deep breath. Only listen to your breath, focus on long deep breaths as you clear your mind. The cd will aid you in emptying your racing thoughts. You can also clench your body and release the clench, this also will help you to relax, because you are making your body aware how tense it is by your anxiety. I learned this at a mindfulness workshop. It does work! Take care. Be Well.......Til Later Thea2 😊
