There is no need to wait, you have a right to treatment within 18 weeks in the UK. If that means they send you to private they have to do that. I've had this myself. You have to make a complaint to the hospital and tell them, that if they can't see you within 18 weeks as stated on the gov site then send you to somewhere who can. My ENT Appointment was 99 week wait, I started this process and was seen within 18 weeks. Please fight for your rights, Google them x

Morning, my sister went private and has gotten a lot further than me on NHS getting diagnosis although very costly it’s a much faster and thorough route💗

It's all about knowing you rights and standing up for them. You will have a local ccg who can help and push the hospital to see you in the given time and if they don't they have to send you elsewhere.

It would have been an eight month wait to get an appointment with the neurologist, so my pcp sent me to the orthopaedic specialist. She ran the tests, did the X-Rays and ordered the MRI and sent me to the neurosurgeon in their spine center. Now I heading to neck surgery to have three badly damaged discs removed, bone graft to replace the discs and plates and screws to make sure nothing shifts, as I am in danger of the portion pressing on my spinal cord rupturing and severing my spinal cord
