I’ve been seeing a hematologist/oncologist since 2022. We have mostly been watching it 🤷♀️😳
At one point in time there was some talk about a possible JAK2 Mutation.
But then my doctor decided that it is my inflammation marker.
Anyone else experience this?
If all stays the same I’ll be released from this doctor in the summer. I’m feeling a little apprehensive since we don’t know it’s inflammation for sure.
If you see this, I appreciate you.💛
That’s my doctor’s current theory. It fluctuates, but never seems to get dangerously high.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way to prove that- we just seem to be ruling other things out and watching it.
At first they were watching my vitamin and mineral levels. My vitamin d and iron were super low, I was put on prescription strength supplements. Still on vitamin d.
If I learn anything else I’ll try to remember to update you!
Thanks for sharing. Takes some anxiety out of it knowing you are not alone! 💛
I don't think I know my platelet count. Hmmm...
That sounds like a crazy part of your health journey my friend. Keep me posted!
I'm so glad you are posting about this. My platelets are always elevated on my cbc labs, but no one has ever explained to me why. It is interesting to hear that it could be related to inflammation.
Thank you, Patricia 💛
Prayers for you
