I have to stop and sit on my mobility aid in a bus length distance. I have tried pushing myself but my back and legs are in so much pain. I feel it is getting worse as time goes on. I feel so alone as I don't get out except appointments, I have to use a taxi due to this. Before all this I used to walk a lot.

Members deeply connected over the shared experience of declining mobility with fibromyalgia, with many describing how conditions like osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, and spinal stenosis have made even short distances exhausting and painful, forcing reliance on walkers with seats or mobility scooters. Several members shared practical strategies including ordering groceries online, using walkers both indoors and outdoors for better stability, investing in mobility scooters to regain independence, and doing gentle exercises when pain allows. A recurring theme was the emotional weight of isolation, losing independence, grieving the activities they once enjoyed, and the deep comfort found in knowing they are not alone in this struggle.
