Have You Experienced Being Given Naproxen And Codeine At The Same Time And Visiting The Emergency Room (AandE Over Here)?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have added costochondritis to my set of problems recently. The truth is that I have been feeling rough for about a year with a pain across my chest and lower abdomen. It's not a heart problem or lung infection but it feels like someone sat on your chest and the pain ratcheting up as you breathe in
I saw my 👤 GP 🏥 in late August and he did some basic checks and listened to my chest. He told me it was costochondritis (CCtis)
It got worse so about 6 weeks later I went back. A different GP 👤… read more

I was given naproxen years ago, took one dose and felt like I'd been run over and in a boxing match. GP said this was an allergic reaction and to stop. I take codeine on its own as I can't take paracetamol. I'm a nightmare with medication. Suffering with Costochondritis myself have done for 7 years on and off but having a very bad flare at the moment where nothing is helping

Danger of ulcers. Recommended using Gaviscon to limit gastro problems with acid reflux and indigestion. Not forgetting the Omezaprole that has been doubled to protect me against ulcers, just need to take note just in case.
I used CBD for a while but didn't like it all. I also used Turmeric and Fish Oil for several years but saw no advantage. I will try stuff and even go back and try previously discarded meds/ therapies.
I do force myself to get going but after getting dressed I need a rest. If I do something manually I find that it is much more foreshortened than on better days and the pan comes on in waves up and down the body and that's me before noon done for the day.

These doctors! I know that naproxen causes so many problems. Was your diagnosis Gastritis? Or ulcer? So hard to get codeine here in the USA. Lots of side effects though.
I use CBD, without THC. And also Tylenol.
