There are multiple lab tests that would point to either inflammation or a positive RF (Rheumatoid Factor) 80% of those with established RA have a positive rheumatoid factor. I have it but very minimal swelling of any joints.
Yes I agree Linda you can get into a rheumatologist unless you have a positive serum test but there are people who have RA but have negative blood work. It’s just frazy because with this fibromyalgia it fits in multiple autoimmune diseases. I always feel stiff and swollen yet absent of any obvious edema. It’s just nuts
I was wondering if had them twice since I was 35. I was wondering why my fibro pain escalated to an 8 or 9… I had a rash on my palm, pain subsided went to minor emergency and yep… shingles on palm of hand. The back, feet and ankle issues ( pain with stiffness and fatigue) exacerbated to nearly intolerable. I’m wondering if I have RA
Shingles are horrible, I have had them twice now.
