Yes I've had it before. I use salon pas on my cheek where the pain is. For me it's my trigeminal nerve acting up. It's the nerve that goes from your ear to the cheek. Which is why most people will say it's TMJ or dental. So I plaster the affected area and use pain relievers. Heat helps me too. Hope this helps.
Glad you found relief with the Gabapentin because it has far fewer side effects than Lyrica. Take care.
When you saw the DDS or Oral Surgeon , did they say they can offer you no help? How terrible for you. How incompetent of them. That is their job.. Previous clients should have experienced this previously. Was your bite checked? Did they give you a full mouth x- ray? Did they do research on this problem? They need to do research. Fibro Specialists can also refer you out, if they cannot help. Taking care of your concern should be handled by specialists in this field. Wishing you the best.
Thank you! Then I am not crazy or silly as 2 surgeons have told me. I wake up between 3 am - 5 am every morning with this pain. Use all kinds of pain relieving potions & lotions in my mouth & on my face, neck, shoulder & shoulder shoulder blade. Anywhere I touch myself on my body, the pain goes to my jaw. The pain with my neck & shoulder is coming from my problems with my neck which is not good with bulging discs, thinning discs & spinal stenosis severe in some areas. I wish I could catch a break here. I'll try the chewing gum. I have the muscle relaxant, Baclofen, but it makes me Snow White. If I take it early am, it is nearly impossible to get out of bed before 1:30 pm.
Thank you for your kind response. Hope all is going well.
