What Is The Concise Definition Of Fibromyalgia?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

It appears that Fibromyalgia has become a diagnosis that is applied too loosely. Every pain one has, as well as every bad feeling one has are not all caused by caused by Fibromyalgia; if so we'll never have a cure. We shouldn't confuse Fibromyalgia with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorders, neurosis and conditions that are rooted in things other than Fibromyalgia. Although many other disorders are related to and accompany Fibromyalgia, everything is not Fibromyalgia… read more

You got the answer exactly. When a doctor doesn't know what's wrong with you the easiest thing for him/her to say is Fibromyalgia because so many symptoms are blamed on Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia causes real physical pain. When muscles tighten on a nerve the nerve sends a message to the brain that says "pain" and the brain sends a message back to the nerve so that the nerve can feel the pain. If you put the brain to sleep and make it unconscious, you extinguish the pain because without the brain functioning and alert the human body cannot feel pain. If a person is put under anesthesia he/she feels no pain. With Fibromyalgia a muscle tightens on a nerve, the nerve sends a message to the brain to feel the pain and the brain's response is to tighten that muscle which causes more pain. Now I don't know why the answer that I found works but it works and totally gets rid of the pain from Fibromyalgia amazingly fast. The only thing is that no one believes that it works but I have no doubt, that it works and it works unbelievably well. If you seriously want to know what it is, then ask me but ask intelligently.

My CFS was caused by sleep apnea. I was sleeping 12 to 14 hours nightly with a 2 hour nap. After testing I got a CPAP machine and now usually sleep 6 to 7 hours usually with no nap.
