As a woman of faith, I pray first and then I go to the website for the College of Physicians and Surgeons and look their their data base for the kind of doctor I am looking for, read their information, call their secretary and inquire as to whether or not they are taking patients, where they are located etc. I do have anxiety but primary care doctor's are the gatekeepers for referrals so one needs a primary care doctor.
Yes!
Sometimes. It depends on what's going on. I do keep notes/questions/med refills on my phone (with the appointment date) and that has helped minimize anxiety. Living in the Middle/Lower Florida Keys, there really aren't any specialists to see. I once tried a different Rheumatologist and navigating Miami freeways to her location was a nightmare! That was enough for me. Plus, I've been with my current doctor for 14 years and I'm not fond of the idea of starting over. Follow your heart and your gut. If you're not happy, and it's possible to check out another doctor, give it a try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Gook luck.🤗
No i don't. I have my list of questions and if i dont get answers, i move on. I have a really good group of specialists right now so i am happy.
I don't have anxiety about going to doctors, just don't feel like making the effort to get up and get ready...
