Been told it doesn't but my maternal grandma had all the same issues that I have and was never diagnosed with anything, my mom and my sister both have the same symptoms I have. My sister can't afford to go through all the testing and assumes she has lupus bc of swollen lymph nodes (which is common in fibromyalgia also) and my mom keeps having surgeries to fix herself but it never helps. I'm the only person who has been diagnosed with anything but I believe that my grandma had fibro and I wouldn't be surprised if my mom and sister do too.

Forgot to mention that we have autoimmune diseases passed down from my father and his great grandfather ...of what we know.

here is what it says on goggle.
Fib isn't passed from directly from parent to children, but the disorder does appear in cluster within the family. the odds are greater of developing fibro in family's that have it . For example in my family I am the oldest and the only one between my parents the there are 3 more on moms side then the last 3 on dads side . I have Fibro then the 3 child in the family and the 6th one as well. We are all women that have it and the only common factor is me. We are all on disability. Here is the list of my siblings. The ones with x's are the ones who have fibro

Sounds like must be. I've always hoped not but I've seen signs in both of my kids
