Burning Sensation In Back Of Head And Neck ???
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since 2nd round of Covid , I have a burning sensation from back of head to neck. Pain that radiates from shoulder , into armpit and right breast. Sounds crazy when I describe this to my Dr. He attributes this to sinus infection and fybro . It’s terrifying while it’s happening. I take a Motrin and pray . Does anyone have the burning ? I’m looking for a neurologist.

Hello! I am a 25 year old woman who has been suffering with a chronic burning/tearing sensation that is typically from the base of my neck to the base of my skull and radiates upwards throughout my scalp. The burning sometimes makes it’s way to my ears and eyes and fills my head with a loud ringing. Which in return always makes me vomit, nauseous, dizzy (vertigo) and ends in a vicious migraine that I typically can’t see in while I have it. I’ve been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have Eustachian Dysfunction (my Eustachian tubes are severely bent and twisted)…I also have Temporandibular Joint Disorder in my Jaw. I am a severe tooth grinder which has caused lots of Inflammation and tension build up in my temporal lobe. I am currently working with an ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat Specialist), family doctor, physiotherapist, chiropractor and a social worker.
I’m waiting on my visit with a neurologist. I’m on a flurry of medication for all of this plus the fibromyalgia. I have experienced this before I have received my COVID vaccinations and I see no correlation for myself personally. It’s an ongoing battle figuring out how to keep myself going each day physically, but I still work full time which helps. I also do Aqua therapy and daily yoga practices which also help with the pain. Meditation and aromatherapy have helped the pain a bit as well.
You’re definitely not crazy…it’s all very real and very difficult to deal with!
I’ve had MRIs, CAT scans, ECGs, etc etc and everything has pretty well come back clear other than what I’ve stated I’ve been diagnosed with. Good luck on your journey…reach out if you have any questions or would like to chat!

My breast pain was on left side, they’ve done bloodwork MRI, ultrasound and 3D ultrasound only to find nothing. It comes and goes but not like it was at first! You will be in my prayers!
