Is anyone currently dealing with it? Recent eye exam for dry eyes brought up possible Sjogrens disease. Dry eyes & cotton mouth. Saw that 45-55%of fibro sufferers also have it. Waiting for tests.
Wondering what treatments and maybe even vitamins people are using.
My eye doc told me to make sure I use the preservative-free eye drops. It's for people who use eye drops multiple times a day.
Yeah i have all that
I got tested but it was negative and that's why I got the fibromyalgia diagnosis. All my labs were negative and they took a tissue sample from my lip which was also negative. There's a lot of overlap between the two, so it's good to get tested.
I have it. My rheumatologist said it may be a mild case of Sjogren's. All of my inflammatory labs came back negative for autoimmune disease. I've had dry eyes on and off for the past 5 years. I take the prescription Xidra for it. The dry mouth developed a few months ago. My salivary glands looked normal on all of the tests I had done. TMJ can also cause dry mouth due to the force clenching and grinding put on the mechanisms of the jaw and mouth. I take Salagen for the dry mouth and use OTC products. Brushing and flossing is critical many times a day to protect the teeth.
I have extremely dry eyes! I’ve been using systane lubricated drops, but it doesn’t seem to be as effective as it once was.
