I started painting rocks during the early days of the pandemic when we were all sheltered at home.
Out of boredom I started looking for something to pass the time. Our neighborhood is landscaped with river rocks. I few paints from Amazon and YouTube tutorials, A hobby was born. That is so beautiful! I taught myself to read at 4 because my mom wouldn't read all the comics to me. I still read voraciously. My mom gave me the most important gift the summer before I started 4th grade. I told her I was bored. She showed me that there were lots of chores I could do to fill my time. On payday, she bought me a crochet book, a hook and yarn. I'm left handed and she told me to use my left hand to do what they said for the right hand. My Granny and aunt also taught me embroidery and painting cloth. quilting came next. I am so blessed to have them in my life.
Hi darling, beautiful work, I love to do craft work when I'm well enough, it's good therapy. During the pandemic people around where I live painted stones and placed them at the edge of the paths in the local park.

Love this! And the thought of leaving them in different places is such a beautiful idea.
I like to fully immerse myself in a good book. It takes my mind of the pain.

Just start. All supplies are available on Amazon and YouTube has great tutorials.
The process for me is a good distraction for the pain. Many of my attempts end up in the waste basket. It is just getting started and having fun.
