New Fibro Symptoms Or Something Else?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Ok so im used to my usual fibro flares, the leg pain, back pain, chest pain, pain under my left rib (sometimes right too) as well as left shoulder blade pain. Not to mention all the other non pain symptoms like gi stuff, headaches, anxiety, as well heart racing sensations. Ive gone to the er a million times thinking i was dying or having a heart attack only to hear after a billion tests... its your fibro. Now today i had coffee for the first time in a minute and my bp is high (which seems to… read more

@A MyFibroTeam Member no, it doesn't hurt from breathing. I just can't pin point any triggers.

@A MyFibroTeam Member holy smokes that makes sooooo much sense!!!! My mind is blown!!! I couldnt figure it out why i was having reactions HOURS after consuming caffeine but that makes sense!!!!

@A MyFibroTeam Member well that makes a TON of sense!!! My cardiologist kept telling me i was having an anxiety attack with my symptoms, but i was taking enough xanax to take down a horse and it was still happening so I tried explaining and he still wasnt hearing me. They always try to say its anxiety, but then when youre medicated and it doesnt work they say "i dont know". Well thanks lol. The inflammation theory makes perfect sense though! Its the only common denominator!

@A MyFibroTeam Member well you sound like so many of us, welcome to the crappy club lmao. Yes i was in and out of the hospital thinking i was having a heart attack for them each time to tell me it wasnt cardiac! Mine isnt directly in the center of my chest always, sometimes, but more often its to the left in my chest. Does it hurt when you take deep breaths ? It could be costochondritis which is super common with fibromyalgia.

That sounds more like anxiety or panic, at least in my experience.

I have also been to the hospital several times thinking I was having a heart attack. Recently I have started having severe tightness/pressure smack dab in the middle of my chest. I can't determine if it is GI or Fibro. Does this sound similar to ya'lls chest pain? My bp is always good and I do not have the burping problem. I do experience the itching sometimes though.

I've watched a video about caffeine, a doctor said that caffeine triggers trauma.
So I stopped drinking or eating anything caffeine included.

As our flare ups could be a result of trauma triggering, I think this is the reason that we have flare ups afterwards.
