My neurologist suggested I get botox on my head neck shoulders and jaw and Iโ€™m a bit nervous about how I will tolerate the injections

I get botox injections in my scalp. It works for migraines. I have also have had botox injections in my bladder because it is so over active. The injection itself is not bad. Now with my bladder, I was completely under. I have heard people doing it both ways. It just happens to be that I had a very large kidney stone that the doc had to break up. My doc likes to do it while under anesthesia. It lasts a few months. With our pain that we go through on a daily basis; the injection was nothing. It does not burn going in. I will most likely do it again when mine wears off. My insurance covers it. Sometimes, they have to code it a different way. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
I added you to my team. Please keep me posted and if you need a pep talk beforehand, I would be happy to give you my number.๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒธ

I have Botox for my chronic migraines. It really doesnโ€™t hurt that much and is starting to work.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Hi there. Sorry, it took so long too respond. Been packiing. I added you to my team. Call or text anytime (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). I go to my urologist to have the procedure done. I would recommend going under. It will be uncomfortable awake. We always have that pressure to urinate. My doc explained it to me like this. Our bladder is like a balloon that has never been blown up. He takes and about 30 times fills your bladder and empties it. Your bladder is now looser where the pressure goes away. The last time I did it, the doc just used water. It worked but not as long as the botox mixture does. My insurance would not cover botox unless I was in a hospital. He has an immaculate surgery center and with covid. I dont go to the hospital unless necessary. Please let me know if you need anything. It never hurts. Remember that.
