With fibro at 30, I have always waken up with some pain, but since I’ve gotten older, now 62, the vibrations stay with me even after I wake. Imagine a vibrating sensation all over. It’s incessant, and has my nerves on end all day. I only get relief when I’m sleeping, and that is only with a sleep med. Anyone else have this? Any that helps? Dr put me on fluoxetine, but nothing. I took all caffeine out of my body, which wasn’t much, and the only thing I’ve found online is a condition that affects… read more

It’s been really rough this past year. Very stressful, and I know that’s a contributor. But as much as I’d like to say, let it go, I just don’t until things are resolved, then I can. All the weight I lost is back, and it takes monumental effort to take it off, and ANY change back-the weight just pours back on. I literally went months eating and counting every calorie. Now, with hardly any energy, I feel defeated. I’ll try again, and again. I love getting inspired from others conquests, I need a win. Thank you for being a friend.

It sounds like you have been through a lot! I'm sure you're a wonderful mother and your son is very blessed to be able to live with you. I bet you are company for both one another! My daughter who is 37 now, began having seizures when she was 35. They are not actually categorized as epileptic, but she sent me a video of one and it was just awful. She has a lot of symptoms of fibro. She has not been diagnosed, but, for instance, she went skiing a few months ago and she said her body hurt for a month. My other daughter that was with her didn't hurt at all. Her knees are always in pain and she has a poor immune system. I don't think she actually wants a diagnosis and I don't blame her! Are you able to work? I worked out of my home for years but I managed to keep as busy as I want to, with grown kids around and lots of grandkids. I still haven't 18-year-old also who lives here.
I have had a bit of a rocky marriage, but we have managed to stay married for 43 years! He just has no tolerance for me being ill.. I was always his cheerleader, as my girlfriend put it, and he wants me to stay upbeat at all times. Obviously this is not easy to do with fibro. My symptoms wax and wane. Hugs to you! Janice

Hi Janice, Happy late Mother’s Day to you too! I have 4 boys, two girls, 43, 41, 36, 34, and boy/girl twins, 32. I had an elective surgery to remove 4 inches so my constipation issue would resolve. The surgeon took out 80% without my permission, and I was under a gastroenterologist for diverticulitis. I almost died, my small intestine folded, and I went septic. My marriage was ending, so after the surgery I basically fell apart, but I learned years later that I should have had extensive follow up care, but I got shoved around in the psych aspect, and it made everything worse. Sadly, both my parents died young. Family support-kids are scattered, but my oldest son lives with me because he has epilepsy, he’s fully functional but I do notice we have similar symptoms between his and my fibro. Maybe drs will figure out they are similar. I hope we keep talking, it’s been a bit lonely. Heidi

Oh, my heart truly goes out to you! ❤️ Happy late Mother's Day! I hope your children remembered you! What are their ages? I have 11, ranging from 41 to 18!
May I ask why the doctor took out part of your colon ?
Do you have any family support! Are your parents still alive?
Janice
