Does Anyone Else Get Over-heated Easily?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone 👋

Does anyone else get hot easily? I’m talking about, absurdly hot, like just walking to the restroom and back (I live in a small one bedroom apartment, so we’re not talking about a long distance or anything)

I have to constantly have a fan blowing directly on me at all times. Any type of exertion makes me extremely hot 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵, sweaty and nauseous.

My doctor said that none of my meds would cause this, so thinks it might be one of my auto-immune disorders, and it could be that… read more

no, the nausea is caused by the heat. It’s overwhelming and since I live in HELL, oops, meant to say Texas 🤣 there’s no hope of it getting better. 😢😢

I think I pretty much wear all cotton and loose fitting clothes, but I do need to make absolutely sure it’s 100% cotton and not a mix. Hopefully, that’ll help!

I get hot flashes, sweats, cold sweats, and fevers. (I'm not near menopause).

I think that in my opinion. What I try to do is keep my body comfortable. I would suggest buying cotton or bamboo clothing to keep you cooler.

Is the nausea from headaches? Only my opinion. I was really nauseous and dr said it was from headaches. She gave me a prescription and for the headache I take Tylenol extra for headaches. It has caffeine in it.

Thinking of you.

I find it's easier to warm up than cool down. From the posts I read, many Fibro ppl have complained of the hot/cold dysregulation. I have not heard of the nausea associated with the sweating though. I tend to get hot when I sleep or eat. I layer my clothes to try to get some control. I think sweating is actually beneficial, as we can sweat out toxins.
