Amitriptyline
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has any one tried amitriptyline (low dose 5mg)? I am only 2 days in as I am trying to give it a go. I feel like everything is in slow motion, so tired and my heart races or palpation? Is this normal?

Hi I have tried amitriptyline and I found it made me so sleepy and drowsy so couldn’t function properly while taking it ! I don’t think you should be having increased heart rate! Need to check with your doctor!

Yes, I'm currently taking Amitriptyline 75mg. I only take 50mg at bedtime. This medication will make you very drowsy. If you're taking this during the day with other meds you will be in slow motion. Try taking it at night. 💜
