Steroids can help for a time but... They also can wreck havoc on the organs in your body. Talk to a pharmacist you trust to tell you how much and often you can take it.
It depends on treatment, injections are limited to small amount treatments. Tablets some reports surgest micro dosing helps with pain, this is same with most treatments.
However it reduces immune system and brings other issues
My experience with steroids has been short term regimens. My Dr would give me Medrol injections, from time to time, Maybe once a year, a dose pack.
They do help, but, I wouldn't use them regularly.
I Always read and research, or ask my pharmacist about side effects of any meds.
My doc gave me an emergency 7-day pack of prednisone to help with a really bad flare. I'm on day 4 and I do feel significantly better. Not pain-free, but better. As others said, probably not best to be on it all the time, but it does seem to be helping with the worst of it.
I do believe it would help but dont think youd want on that all time
