Does Anyone Notice Vision Changes In Some Kinds Of Lighting?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Kentucky

For a long time, I've noticed my vision seems blurred, or dimmed, after being in some stores. This is especially true in the "big box" stores. Eyes feel drier, too.

This happened before and after my cataract surgery. New prescriptions for my glasses made no difference.
Just wondering if it could be fibro related, or another problem.🤔

My wonderful opthamologist said my eyes were healthy.
Sadly, he was killed in an accident in late 2022.😢

I have dry eyes from fibromyalgia. I use eye refresh eye drops that are preservative free. I use te ones with flaxseed oil. I don’t think of it as a negative, I think if it as something I need to make better, daily. God bless!

My vision is blurry. I have light sensitivity at times and dry eye which can be one of the symptoms.

Dry eyes could be Sjögren’s Syndrome
Get your gp to do a blood test for this
It's not uncommon for people who have fibro, to also have Sjögren’s.

Thank You All, for your responses.🥰 Plainly, I am not alone with this problem.
After my cataract surgery, I developed the "film" on my eyes. My opthamologist lasered it off. It's a permanent solution. He said they don't know why people develop the film, or why some do soon after surgery, some many years later, but, it's very easily remedied with the laser.

I've worn bifocals for 30 years, had no problems at all adjusting, even with lined ones. I do wear transition lenses, instead of having to change into sunglasses. It's much better for me. I don't care if ppl think I'm wearing sunglasses in indoor bright lighting.

If you're having problems, please see an eye doctor. Vision is precious.

Hi @A MyFibroTeam Member your gp or pcp can do a blood test for Sjögren’s. A dentist also knows about this and an endocrinologist can help you with this too.
