If so, do you have any side effects? I'm tired of struggling with this sadness.
Hi!
So glad you reached out!
Lexapro helped me for about 8 years then my doc switched me to Cymbalta….that helped as well. I have taken that for about 10 years for fibro and anxiety and depression.
It is probably time for me to change again.
I know several people who have had good results with more natural supplements such as SAM-e, GABA, passionflower, tryptophan and 5htp (not all together).
I also think a good osteopath doc can help you with the natural side of things and/ or a good psychiatrist can help you with the prescription meds! There is soooooo much help for this!🙏🏽💕
Thanks everyone. ❤️😎
Margaret I appreciate the offer. I will take you up on it if I need to. For the time being I have an appt. with my long time counselor for this coming Monday and will see my primary care doctor in Feb.
If I do anything it would be to try the homeopathic route first.
Next right thing.
Thank you all. ❤️ Lynnecarol I will look into the homeopathic capsules you suggested.
I have struggled for decades with PTSD issues and have seen a specialist which helped a lot. Now, with the added emotional roller-coaster Fibro has blessed upon me, it may be time to try another approach. 🤔
Yes. I have major depressive disorder and fibro. for over 30 years. I address my depression and fibro on a daily basis. I take fluoxetine, Lyrica, amitryptiline. It took several tries to get the right combo of meds. For a long while I stopped seeing a therapist. For the past 2 years I started back. It's helped take off the frustration and pent up emotion that develops over time. Therapy has helped make a difference much more than I realized. Treating fibro. and depression is a work in progress. Keep looking for what works for you. It's all part of a journey, getting the right combo. You are in my thoughts and prayers, fibro. warrior 💪
I would recommend that you go to a psychiatrist.. there are so many different types of antidepressants.. I struggle with depression before fibromyalgia dx. And have been on so many different ones.. BUT we are all different... A psychiatrist will help you figure it out.
