Members connected deeply over upper back and rib pain, with many identifying costochondritis and muscle inflammation as their most persistent and frustrating symptoms. Several members shared relief strategies including chiropractic care with laser and shockwave therapy, Epsom salt baths followed by topical creams, heating pads, turmeric supplements, and Lyrica medication, though some noted the medication's side effects like increased hunger. A recurring theme was the challenge of getting clear answers from doctors who often attribute imaging findings to fibromyalgia even when tests show arthritis or bulging discs, leaving members to navigate a complex mix of diagnoses, treatments, and the daily struggle of managing relentless pain.

@A MyFibroTeam Member oh my
Goodness I am so sorry! One of the first things i did was a CT scan of my thoracic and lumbar, was done at the hospital .. that showed arthritis in my
Spine and some bulging disc... next I did a mri../ and many X-rays... me seeing the rheumatologist was the last thing I did.. I hate The Whole
Fibromyalgia diagnosis, to me it's what they diagnose you with when they can't figure out what's wrong.. I also am on Lyrica and Tylenol... I've kind of stopped Tylenol and been using the heating pad and patches a lot... how did your nerve test Turn out? I asked my neurologist if I needed a nerve test she said no.. my rheumatologist also wants to rule out sleep apnea.. it's a lot! πŸ™πŸΌ

I was diagnosed eight months ago and have been on lyrica. Just saw my rheumatologist last week because the pain was starting to ramp up so she upped my medication. She’s wanting to do more bloodwork which I do tomorrow. Get an MRI of my whole back. She did a nerve test and some other bloodwork as well eight months ago. . The reason I went to go see her is because it hurt when I would take a shower and if someone would touch my skin.
