Members shared mixed experiences with TENS units for managing fibromyalgia pain, with many finding them helpful for temporary or sometimes lasting relief, while others preferred heat pads or cold packs instead. Several members described using their TENS units regularly over the years, adjusting settings to match their needs, and finding noticeable pain reduction that could last anywhere from a few hours to the rest of the day. A recurring theme was that TENS units may work best for localized pain rather than widespread fibromyalgia discomfort, with members encouraging others to try one and see if it provides soothing relief without any harm.

I love mine! Works fantastic for my issues. I can't do ice so heat and a Tens is awesome.

I used to wear my Tens unit at work. Off and on all day. I adjusted the rate and width accordingly. Staff would tease me to turn down my rate, because I was matching the high rate! LOL I turned it down and went back to my office to chill. Boy, I miss work and people..

I find my Tens very good, reduces my pain considerably, sometimes for a few hours other times for the rest of the day.

I tried it at first. It didn’t help that much, kind of annoying. I rather use a heat pad and a cold pack.
