Why Is My Tongue Burning?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My tongue started burning a couple of months ago. It burns all day long and gets worse at night. I have rubbed the edges of my tongue raw because I am pushing my tongue onto the back of my front teeth trying to get some relief from the burning. There doesn't seem to be much information on treatment. Thank you in advance for help.

I have had burning mouth syndrome for 18 months. There are a lot of causes for this awful syndrome. There is a very good Facebook group called Burning Mouth Syndrome which has a lot of things people have found that helps them. It is a supportive group. My burning isn’t as severe as it was since I stopped my medications 4 months ago. It was bad throughout the tapering process though. I hope you manage to find something that relieves your pain. Take care.

Not enough off vit b12 can give you tongue burning, also many people with fm do not have enough vitb12...
