Has Anyone Had Covid? What Was The Worst Side Effect
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

This morning I tested positive for Covid. I've not got a temperature but I do have the sore throat. I'm not sure if the aches I've got are more to do with Fibro or if it's down to Covid. Is this the worst it gets or do we get worse symptoms with having Fibro? Had anyone else had it and could they tell me what sort of time scale I'll be looking at for recovery. I'm full time carer for my Hubby and can't really do to be out of sorts for too long. Many thanks all.
Love n Hugs.

I tested positive for Covid a few months ago. My symptoms were a low grade fever for 2 days, chills, general body aches, loss of appetite, sore throat, and worst of all heavy, full sinuses that ached accompanied by copious amounts of thick phlegm. I know of lots of others that had those same symptoms. Everything went away after about 5 days except the sinus issues which I still have but it is now finally almost gone. I hope this helps and I hope and pray you get over yours very quickly. Hugs and prayers for you.

I am so sorry dear. I sure hope that you will soon be able to say, Hey, today I don't have any of those covid signs, Thank you God for Healing me.!! I have never had it, just C.O.P.D. with emphysema and chronic bronchitis with bronchial Asthma. This is mine to keep...chronic, as well as a few other things that puts me into a disabled category or Social Security. I so wish I could hold a job, but I can't promise you that I can get out of bed tomorrow morning.

Thank you so much for all your lovely replies. It was 11 days before I got the negative result. I went straight back to my usual routine but now my Fibro is playing up terribly. After a day away at my eldest son and daughter in law's with the rest of my children, celebrating my eldest sons birthday, I am in so much pain. Still got the post Covid headache and slight sniffles but on top of that I just ache. I'm grateful though that I've got a supply of ibuprofen gel. Love n hugs to all. XX

My twin brother (who also has fibro) got COVID a couple of weeks ago and he said his pain was a lot worse right after recovering, but I think he is doing much better now so the flare up was luckily just temporary in his case. When he had COVID he felt very sick for about 4-5 days (he is triple vaccinated) with bad pain and a fever, but was mostly back to normal after that. Wishing you a speedy recovery <3

Hi ,
I had COVID in July and am still having some effects . I do recommend getting Paxlovid; as a pharmacist I see the benefit ; however my DR thought my case was mild as gave Lagevrio ( which did nothing ) ; reasoning was I take too many other meds which I could’ve suspended. Not saying that it would’ve made a difference but others that took it bounced back better than me . Of course the Paxlovid rebound can happen but folks really need to rest and not overdo it . Bottom line COVID has wrecked havoc in my life . Praying for a smooth recovery
