I've never had surgery before and I need my gallbladder out I'm Just worried after the surgery I will flare up. Also is it common to have your gallbladder removed with fibromailga
I had my gallbladder surgery on August 15th. I'm not sure if there's an actual study where fibromyalgia compromises anything....but I have to have a colonoscopy September 1st due to not being able to use the restroom without a laxative daily.
After my gallbladder surgery I spent about 6 months not noticing the fibromyalgia pain and symptoms beyond a little bit of weakness and fatigue. I was hopeful that the issues that I was having prior to the surgery had been eliminated due to the surgery. But 6 months later that stuff started coming back. So if anything maybe you'll feel better after the surgery at least for a while.
Definitely not related to fibro. I didn't flare afterward.
Having your gallbladder removed is not fun, but it just happened that way. I am not a professional and I don’t know if it’s related to fibro.
I don’t think you will flareup after because they will keep you very comfortable.
You will relax but don’t overdo it dear!
Stay strong!
I had mine out 14 years ago. Not a huge slash like my previous surgeries. 3 tiny holes. No scar now. Also patient control of flow of pain meds. You doze off and are no longer holding the button. So much better than a huge amount of pain meds, then having it wear off too soon.
