Members shared mixed experiences and perspectives on the question of using hypnosis for chronic pain, with some reporting no success despite trying it, while others found it quite useful or witnessed its effectiveness in medical settings like post-surgery recovery rooms. Several members offered practical advice, including testing susceptibility first through free YouTube pain hypnosis videos before paying for sessions, researching reputable clinics carefully, asking about Medicare coverage, and exploring free online relaxation or meditation exercises as similar alternatives. A recurring theme was curiosity tempered with realistic expectations, with members encouraging the original poster to keep the community updated while acknowledging that chronic pain management is complex and what works varies greatly from person to person.

I’ve heard of it and never looked into it any further. It sound interesting because my motto has and continues to be “WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR MIND YOU PUT IN YOUR BODY!”

I've heard that it can help. I haven't tried it, but I have seen it work on patients in the recovery room after minor surgeries.
