A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just spoke with a medical professional on the phone. He was articulate, alert and an awe inspiring wellspring of condensed and complex information on my pain management options. But I got off the phone wondering if I ever was that cognitively capable.

1. So my question is, if you could be granted one reversal of this condition, what would it be? Cognition? Energy? Freedom from pain? Ease of mobility
2. Second question is, if money were not an option where and how would you live with your… read more

Members responded to the thought-provoking question of which single symptom reversal they would choose, with pain-free living emerging as the most common wish, though many also longed for restored energy, better sleep, and clearer cognition to reclaim their participation in daily life. Several members shared specific dreams of where they would live if finances weren't a barrier, including warm beach destinations like Australia, Greece, Maui, and Pensacola Beach, while others emphasized the importance of living near family, having access to excellent medical care, or residing somewhere fibromyalgia is truly recognized and understood. A recurring theme was the deeply interconnected nature of fibromyalgia symptoms, with members noting how pain worsens brain fog, fatigue impacts mood, and anxiety triggers flares, making it nearly impossible to separate one symptom from another when imagining relief.

I would want to be able to eat things I once was able to eat. My IBS is beyond terrible. As we age our mind tends to sway and our energy runs out of fuel to quickly.
I would want to live in Pensacola Beach, Florida, so I can walk on the beach. I live in a four bedroom, 3 and 1/2 baths and it's just to much to clean. I want a 2 bedroom bungalow with a great view of the water. It's fun to daydream. I appreciate the inquiry.
