Anyone have rashes that are similar to hives?
Starts with a red flat splotch, then begins to itch and welts up last?

Members shared their experiences with skin rashes and itching related to fibromyalgia, with many describing red splotchy areas that welt up, intense itching, and sensitivity to touch or temperature. Several members offered helpful suggestions, including switching to fragrance-free soaps, keeping a symptom journal to track possible triggers like medications, and asking for a referral to a dermatologist to rule out skin infections. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia seems to bring endless new symptoms, and members encouraged each other to speak with their doctors to identify whether triggers are topical, chemical, or medication-related.

So although i dont really get the skin rashes or welts i definitely struggle with itchy skin all over! It drives me crazy at night cause i have a hard time not itching. I wish i knew how to make it stop though. All the best!

Yes, lately I have been getting small red spots. I have even been obsessing with the thought that they are "bed bugs" that I have brought home from my teaching job! I have been asking "AI" a lot about this too. I can't see any evidence of "bed bugs" but I feel creepy, crawly, and itchy all the time! I might be losing my mind completely. My husband thinks so! lol.

I'm beginning to think it's the Lipitor statin medication that I've been on it for a long time. I'm keeping a journal. Seems like now when I take it within an hour I get that rash on one arm or both.
The day before when I took the lipitor, I had the rash. Yesterday I didn't take it and no rash. Today lipitor within an hour itching and redness started.🤔

I started having the red splotches that welded up on my face while I was in college. They seemed to be related to the hair products I was using at the time. I quit using mousse and hair spray and haven't had them since. Maybe you are chemically sensitive. It pays to be careful with any product your skin is exposed to. Best wishes!
